Aamya Charnell Person was born on June 6, 2001. She was adopted into the Person family on September 16, 2003.
Aamya graduated from Ritenour High School in May 2019. She enlisted in the United States Marine Corps in August 2019. Lance Corporal Person served as an Aviation Operations Specialist until being honorably discharged in June 2024. She was attending Midwest Institute Veterinary Technology in the Vet Tech program when she passed away.
Aamya had a love for all animals, listening to a variety of music, dancing, and trying out new recipes. She enjoyed making musical beats and rhythms, creating art, writing poems, taking videos and pictures of her children, traveling, and enjoying her Aunt Linda's cooking (especially her macaroni and cheese).
Aamya departed this life on January 27, 2025, in Cairo, IL.
She leaves to cherish her memory two children, Nikko and Naiome Person; her mother, Rebecca (Becky) Person; one sister, Alexis Tucker; three aunts, Mary Person, Linda Baker (Bobby), and Sara Nell Person (of Jackson, TN); two uncles, Larnell Person Jr. and Cedel Person (of Jackson, TN); and cousins Terrell (Jerome), Jerome Jr., Jerrell, Christina, Jayden, Jasmine, Kimberly, Barry Jr., Jonathan, Marquita, Kayla, Jalayah, Cam'Ron (Maddie), Melina, Christian, Tiffany, Aaron, Kai'Malik, Gabrielle, Chris, Joshua, Camryn, Madison, Johnnie, Kea, Isaiah, and Daniel.
