Obituary

Ms. Annette Moore was born January 16, 1939, the daughter of Tennessee Gray and Lieutenant Carnes she became Annette Griffin when she met and married George Griffin.

Ms. Annette Moore was baptized at True Light Missionary Baptist Church St. Louis, Missouri as a very young girl. Mom greatest joy is her unconditional prayers... her primary scripture 1 Thessalonians 5:17 "praying without ceasing." Daily she thanks the Lord because she is blessed and highly favored and her favorite scripture is Psalms 23; she was God fearing woman who prayed all the time.

During her time in St. Louis Missouri; she raised six adolescent children four of her children (Debra Lynn, Michael, Larry and Virgil) in Pruitt-Igoe Project where she became active in the Civil Rights Movement in the 60's; in the 70's she raised the other two children (James Arthur, and Karen Antoinette) at 4414 Elmbank Avenue; St. Louis Missouri where she bought her home.

Mom was raised in St. Louis Missouri where she received her education in the public school system. She attended Vashon High School and St. Louis Missouri medical school and receive her Lab Technical degree and practice drawing blood on all her children.

She enjoyed visiting Mississippi, Chicago and New Orleans with family and friends.

She worked at Central Medical Center until it closed in 1997. She continued working at Grand Manor Nursing home in St. Louis Missouri until she retired to enjoy her life.

Mother Annette cherish her memories are her children Debra Lynn Griffin-Finch (Lester Glenndale Finch, Jr. son-in-law passed away 2010), Michael Griffin (Rochelle), Larry Griffin, Sr. (Regina) Virgil Griffin (Vanessa) James Arthur Griffin (Trayc), and Karen Antoinette Griffin-Davis, 19 grandchildren, and 29 great-grandchildren.

Mother Annette preceded in death by her mother Tennessee Gray and father Lieutenant Carnes and aunts, uncles, cousins and close friends.
