Christine Elizabeth Jones M. D.

Dr. Christine E. Jones was born in Saint Louis on May 1, 1947 to Josephine and Gabriel Jones. Her early education was in the Saint Louis Public Schools. She relocated to New York City in the 1950s. She was a good student who strove to excel. Upon finishing high school, she enrolled in New York University. After receiving her Bachelors of Arts degree she began her Medical studies. Christine enrolled in Albert Einstein College of Medicine where she received her Medical Degree. Additionally, she went to Presbyterian Medical University.

She began her practice at several Medical Institutions. Christine began working at Yeatmand Health Center in New York. She moved on to Spectrum Health Services. In 1988, she worked for Saint Louis University Health Plan, moving on to a Vocational Rehabilitation Consultant. She was also employed by the US Department as a Medical Examiner. In Saint Louis, Christine worked at St. Luke's hospital before taken over by the City by imminent domain.

Christine joined Riverside Church and Church of the Water in New York. When she returned to Saint Louis, Christine joined Cote Brilliant Presbyterian Church where she was an active member.

Christine loved to travel. She visited the Bahamas several times, China and several countries in Africa.

She took art classes for sculptures and dolls. She also did voice-overs for commercials. She was a voracious reader, never leaving home without a book. Christine also had a love of Theater, she worked at The Fox Theater to see the productions which she loved.

Forty years ago she had Leukemia and recovered. It returned about a month ago and eventually she succumbed on Friday, October 1, 2025.

She was always pleasant. Christine leaves to mourn her passing and forever cherish her sweet memories her sister, Dr. Beulah Jones, M. D., aunts, uncles, cousins, other dear relatives, church family, associates and dear friends.
