Edna Mae Calicutt was born on November 20, 1938, to the union of Mary Susie Calicutt and Calloway Calicutt. She was born, raised, and educated in Sardis, Mississippi, along with her 17 siblings. In 1959, she moved to Saint Louis, where she worked various jobs and eventually retired from Tony's Restaurant. She was a persistent and independent woman, qualities that caught the eye of her soon-to-be husband, Willie B. Eason, who fondly called her "Sweets Sweet." He was a wonderful husband until his passing.
Edna dedicated her life to Jehovah God and symbolized it through water baptism in 1986. She periodically served as an auxiliary pioneer because she loved talking to people about Jehovah and His purpose for mankind.
She leaves to cherish her memory her children: Susie Calicutt, Ricketta Calicutt, Joey Calicutt, Ivory Brown, Deborah Lee, Hosea Syee, Ardell Calicutt, Krist, Caroline, and Kevin; her one surviving sister, Marie Merriweather; her niece, Linda Turner; her eight grandchildren; two great-grandchildren, Justin and Chantel; three great-great-grandchildren; and a dear family friend, Gina.
