David Penton was born on May 20, 1955, in Saint Louis, Missouri, to David Maceo Penton and Joyce L. Adams. He was their second child. Both parents preceded him in death.

David was educated in the Saint Louis Public Schools. He served in the US Army as a 63rd Bravo Track & Truck Mechanic for 4 years. He was united in holy matrimony with Veronica Osby-Penton.

David was full of life.

He was dedicated, hardworking. He also had a passion for entertaining, dancing, music and over the road truck driving.

He was preceded in death by his mom, Joyce Adams, Victor Adams; his nephew, Christopher Doss; and a longtime family friend of 20 years, Spencer Golliday.

On Saturday, November 29, 2025, at 12:48 p.m., David was peacefully called home to be with the Lord while sleeping quietly.

He leaves to cherish his memory his wife Veronica Penton, sisters: Cynthia Penton-Young (Brian) and Vera Anderson (Charles); his brothers: Kyle Penton, And Anthony Penton (Alicia); his children Jonette Joyce Coleman, Lemann Thomas Coleman, Michael Goodman, Stephanie Goodman, two bonus children Rodney And Tracia Robinson, grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews and cherished friends.
