God has opened the doors of heaven and called Harry Gerrod Gladney Jr. home on July 17, 2026 at 04:48 a.m. Harry was born on March 18, 1950 in Saint Louis, Missouri. His parents Louise (Wofford) Gladney and Harry Gerrod Gladney Sr. both preceded him in death along with his sister Charlotte J Brooks and his two brothers Fredrick (Freddie) Gladney and Thomas Gladney, as well as his daughter Nicole R. Gregory and his two sons Steven Gladney and Purish Williams.

Harry was educated in the Saint Louis Public School System. Harry professed Jesus Christ as his personal savior at an early age.

Harry worked for various security companies for many years until he found his pride and joy job working at Harrah's Casino as a guest host. Harry enjoyed greeting people with a smile and long conversations with everyone that came through the doors of the Casino Buffet Restaurant where he later retired.

Harry leaves to mourn his passing and forever cherish his sweet memories his daughters, Shantaye Gladney and Erica Nolan; sons, Shaun M. Gladney and Tarrish Williams; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren with whom he loved dearly. Three sisters, Donna Gladney of Springfield, IL, Sandra Lynn Garrett and Stephanie Beasley; aunt Mildred Weber; nephews, Tremayne (Cherell) Garrett and Mario Garrett; nieces, Erika A. Brooks of Champaign, IL, Karen Freeman of Arizona and Nija Merchant; a host of cousins other dear relatives who loved him. Special thanks to his best friends Mr. Eddie and Mrs. Betts who took great care of Harry again we say Thank You!

Feel no guilt in laughter. I know how much you care. Feel no sorrow in a smile that I am not here to share. You cannot grieve forever, I would not want you to. I hope that you could live your life the way you always do. So talk about the good times and the way you showed you cared. The days we spent together and the happiness we shared. Let the memories surround recapture a time, an hour or a day, that brings you back as clearly as though I were still her and fills you with the feeling that I am always near.
