IN LOVING MEMORY OF
James Wakeen
Nunley
October 2, 1989 – December 24, 2025
James Wakeen Nunley was born in Saint Louis, Missouri on October 2, 1989, to Laura Thompson and James Nunley. Raised in the loving home of Mr. & Mrs. Isaac and Donna Miller with their family Kimberly, Bertrian, Isaac, Steven, and Danyell whom all loved Jamie dearly. Even though Jamie was quite a bit younger than their children, he had plenty of playmates in their grandchildren Talisa, Eric, Brian and Nikki. Jamie also managed to be close with his biological siblings. Stevie, Jessica, Chris, Ashley; and Brandon who is often referred to as Jamie’s twin.
Jamie was an amazing artist from an early age. He could draw or paint almost anything with very little effort. This talent only grew while he attended the Pattonville School District. It was in this environment that Jamie would become an avid skateboarder, gamer and Boy Scout, making lots of friends. Two of these friendships would become lifelong. Kenneth McIntire and Megan Smith. Megan and James would later have two beautiful daughters Emerie Star and Aria May.
Being the kind and gentle soul that he was, James was employed as a Caregiver to the elderly and a member of Grace Apostolic Church in Nixon Missouri. It was at Grace Apostolic that Jamie met his spouse Jessica Oldham and made another lifelong friend and mentor who was as close as a brother Mr. Micheal Eddings. Our family would like to thank them for their faithfulness in leading Jamie to Christ and his walk-in sobriety. May the Lord bless you always.
He leaves to cherish his memory: Children Emerie Star Nunley & Aria May Smith; Parents, Isaac & Donna Miller, Laura Thompson & James Nunley; Grandmothers, Meriel Thompson & Ethel Miller Davis; Siblings Kimberly Miller, Bertrian Dixion, Isaac L. Miller III, Steven Miller, & Danyell (Miller) Hager, Stevie & Jessica Thompson, Christopher Powell, Ashley, Brandon, & Paris Nunley, Erica Pipkin; Cousins as close as brothers Steven Thompson & Todd Good; Spouse, Jessica Oldham; Best Friends, Tim Callahan, Kenneth McIntire, Megan Smith, Micheal Eddings, and a host of uncles, aunts, cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.
