Mr Lawyer Quincy Lewis II

February 11, 1998 — June 11, 2025

Lawyer Quincy Lewis II (known by his nickname, Tu), was born on February 11, 1998, to Shamoneece Mills and Lawyer Lewis in Saint Louis, Missouri.

As a young boy, Quincy loved heights and began climbing up closets, cars, and even a van. As a baby, he would use his walker to push himself out and up in order to climb onto his mom’s dresser. He once said, “I’m the real Spiderman,” when his mom caught him hanging from the top of her closet. He wasn’t afraid at all.

Quincy was introduced to God at a very early age and even cried about wanting to be baptized. He was baptized at New Sunny Mount Baptist Church under Reverend Donald Hunter.

When “old-school” music played—like Parliament and the Funkadelics—he would dance, sing, and nod his head, bopping to the beat and making everyone in the room burst into laughter. He also loved rap artists like Slick Rick, Dana Dane, and Tupac. As a young boy, he enjoyed going fishing and hunting with his Grandpa Sam and became very good at it. He also shared a very close relationship with his grandmother, Erma, with whom he had many memorable conversations.

Quincy attended North County Christian School and graduated from Hazelwood Central High School in 2016. Early in life, he excelled in reading and mathematics, which contributed to him receiving an academic scholarship to Maryville University. He chose instead to attend Ranken Technical College, where he studied in the Industrial Engineering Program on scholarship.

Quincy also played six years in the Junior Football League with the University City Soldiers, becoming a three-time Super Bowl Champion and eventually a National Champion in Daytona Beach, Florida.

He loved Bob Marley, his brothers, and lots of other reggae music. He was very interested in things like crystals and burning sage in rooms, as well.

Quincy had a strong interest in real estate and aspired to become a landlord. He invested many hours watching YouTube, studying plans, programs, and ways to achieve his goals. He loved his family and enjoyed “family time,” often being the center of attention with his dancing, jokes, infectious laughter, and smile.

In April 2022, Quincy became a father to JacQueem Quincy Lewis-Griffin, whom he shared with Ja’Nece Griffin. Baby JacQueem is the spitting image of his dad. Quincy was very proud to be a father—he loved teaching his son things and spending time with him.

Quincy is preceded in death by his grandmother, Clarissa Lewis, and his uncles, Clarence Mills Jr. and Mark Lewis.

He leaves to carry on his legacy: his beloved son, JacQueem; his loving mother, Shamoneece; his father, Quincy; his grandparents, Erma and Samuel Wright; his siblings, Latrice, Kelsey, Talesha, Camara, Jaylen, Ariana, and Carmel; his uncles, Terron and Lyn; his aunts, Tonia and Arletha; and two very special cousins, Caleb Campbell and Elijah Torregrossa—along with a host of loving family and friends.
