Lynetta “Net” Davis was born on December 12, 1958, in St. Louis, Missouri. She was the oldest of five children born to Henrietta Price and Lynn Davis, and stepfather Rodney Price. Her mother, father, stepfather, sister Nina, and grandson Rontez preceded her in death.
Lynetta, affectionately called “Net,” received her education through the St. Louis Public School District and attended Sumner High School.
She touched everyone she met in a unique and heartfelt way. Being with people and sharing her love came naturally to her. She cared deeply for others and loved spending time with her children and family. In her downtime, she enjoyed watching good movies, going to the park, taking road trips, and chatting on the phone with her favorite cousin, Cynthia, and her best friend, Lisa “Minnie.”
Lynetta’s extraordinary compassion and thoughtfulness led to successful employment in nursing facilities, as well as in housekeeping and laundry services at the DoubleTree Hotel.
Lynetta began her spiritual journey with the Most High Yah many years ago. Her mother started teaching her about the Father at a young age. Attending church with her mom and siblings helped grow her faith over the years.
Lynetta “Net” Davis was called to rest on May 12, 2025.
She leaves to cherish her memory: her twelve children—Monica, Robin, Tosha, Lynetta, Sabrina, Loretta, Shondella, Rodney, Marquita, Stanley, Jamal, and Stanita; her two sisters and one brother—Joyce, Leander, and Rosalyn; twenty-three grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
