ROSE EVELYN SMITH was born on February 3, 1938, in Battle Creek, Michigan, to the late Herman Moses Adams and Oralee Walker Adams. She received her education at Jefferson High School.
Rose and Leeaurn Smith were united in marriage on July 4, 1968, and shared a loving union that spanned decades.
A devoted member of the Lively Stone Church of God under the leadership of Bishop Lee Scott, Rose's faith was a guiding light in her life.
She worked diligently as both an office cleaner and a dog groomer, always bringing care and dedication to all she did.
Rose transitioned from this life on Tuesday, May 6, 2025. She was preceded in death by her parents; her son, Robert Adams; and her siblings: Rachel Jones, Charles Adams, Bernice Stewart, and Ruth Haynes.
She leaves to cherish her memory: her beloved husband, Leeaurn Smith; two sisters, Helen Jackson of Detroit, MI, and Elaine Gustain of Milwaukee, WI; two sons, Leeaurn Jr. and Larry, both of Memphis, TN; two grandchildren; one brother-in-law, Robert V. Smith (Layne); along with a host of nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.
A special lifelong friend, Bobbie Moore, and her devoted caregiver, Latachia Hayes—who was like a granddaughter to her—held a cherished place in her heart.
