Shirley Ann Pulliam was born December 4, 1950 to Emit and Sarah Pulliam.

She accepted Christ at an early age and attended St. John Missionary Church in Kinloch for many years.

She graduated from McCluer High School where she was a cheerleader. After high school, she attended Brown's Business School. She worked for the Head Start program for over 20 years, where she received numerous awards for her outstanding work. She later then, was employed by Bellefontaine Habilitation Center, where she retired from.

She was known by her big bright smile and joyful, infectious laugh. She loved clothes, make up, jewelry, and hair.

In her own words, "I am so blessed, I can take care of myself well and my son is doing well. I am so blessed."

She enjoyed watching TV, going to GW aka the Goodwill, and spending quality time with family and friends.

She is preceded in death by her mother, Sarah Pulliam; father, Emit Pulliam; brother, Emmett Pulliam; sisters, Annie Ekpo, Ella Mae Cherry, and Loyce Jordan; nephew, Demetrius Holbrook.

She is survived by her son, Anthony Atkins Pulliam; siblings, Marcellas Pulliam and sister in law Christine Pulliam, and life long friend (sister) Peggy Davis; nieces, Marie Jordan, Sarah Howard, and Georganna Ekpo; nephews, David Pulliam and Elijah Pulliam, Naaman Lauderdale, Lyndon and Phillip Pulliam and John Holbrook; great niece, Shyrah Byrd (and her husband Montez Byrd), and Maya Howard; great great nieces and nephews, Audrey Pulliam, Leo Pulliam, Natalie Pulliam, Malia Howard, Ayden Howard and Brayden Howard; and a host of family, friends, colleagues, and loved ones.
